Current music:Staring At the Sea - TV On the Radio

I'm up working on the twenty or so applications I need to fill out to secure a spot at a university in the UK for my senior year next year. Since I was told I "should think of applying to colleges outside of London because spaces are so limited," I'm looking at universities in Ireland too. My knowledge of Ireland is really limited: Pogues, that skit where Conan went to visit family members and it was really windy, and Guinness. I'm applying all over the UK though.

Along with these applications and the personal statement I have to write explaining why I should study abroad rather than some other American student with the same gpa, I have to write an essay on Samuel Johnson and and Germaine Necker de Staël due next week, which I'm really confused about because I've had to change my topic twice in the past week and because Staël's confusing; read The Picture of Dorian Gray and How the Other Half Lives, and write a paper on the film Vampire's Kiss. Then finals. Complain, complain. I know it's not so bad.

When this quarter is over, I'm really going to ebay the bad records I have that I've said I'm going to ebay for the past year or so, which for whatever reason have become valuable in the last couple years. I really don't know who the people are who pay $150 for records on ebay. Do I?

My parents called to tell me they got a new kitty yesterday. The cat we've had since I was five, Wrudis, died two weeks ago. She was a good cat. Christmas at my parents will be weird now. I'm totally going to hold a grudge against the new cat. "Who do you think you are, Wrudis II: Electric Boogaloo? Not to me, buddy. Not to me. You might be foolin' them, but you're not foolin' me. I see through you and those innocent eyes, weaseling your way into my parents' laps. Sure they may have picked you out from all the others at the Humane Society, but don't think I'm not hip to kitten mind-control--I read Newsweek. Just watch it, cat..."

Thanks Sarah.

I really wanted to go to that show, and heard it was really good, but I had too much school work and I had school the next morning. They remind me of Roxy Music or, um, Peter Gabriel, vocally anyway.
